The Ant

Defiant explains "the ant"
~Liana owner

Why the ant logo?

Because a logo is instrumental to any company, it took some time, thought, and collective effort to come up with "the ant." Some reasons the Ant took hold are: "It's catchy, but takes an "ah-ha" moment." Once you get it though... it sticks. Super memorable.

The ant isn't "cute" or "adorable", but it’s a hard worker, dedicated to the long run. With the ant, it’s not about the image as much as it is about the product the ant creates, which is central to the idea behind Defiant.

The ant has also been used historically and literarily to represent industriousness and cooperative effort, and I especially like this analogy because it emphasizes the fundamental purpose of Defiant – utilizing creative markets and collaborative marketing to promote sports and athletes.

Finally, I went with the Ant because Defiant is different. "It's the ANTi-establishment company...it’s not bound by industry standards—we’re going for the big brands, supporting athletes who never thought they could have an agent, and pushing fringe sports into the mainstream"

Oooh, the Ant is the little guy who's going to make it big!
